Another Meme..

I have been tagged by Mary at Mary's Writing Nook to do a meme on 8 facts/habits of mine. Most of you already know most facts about me AND my habits so it took me a while to come up with 8 things. If I repeat myself from other memes just ignore what you've already learned! Here are the rules:

In the 8 facts about yourself, you share 8 things that your readers don’t know about you. Then at the end you tag at least 8 other bloggers to keep the fun going.

1. I am not a morning person!! I can't think well in the morning and sometimes can't remember things. My daughter says she never tells me anything important in the morning because by noon I won't remember it! Morning dementia??

2. When I was young I wanted to drive a car so much that I had recurring dreams about driving! Now I hate to drive.

3. I like to fall asleep with the tv on in our bedroom and it has to be on Nick at Nite! The reason is that I've seen all these shows so many times and don't get deeply involved in them like I would if I watched a movie or any show I've never seen.

4. It has always been hard for me to accept a compliment without undermining it in some way. For instance, if someone tells me my hair looks nice, I would say something like, "It's only because I finally washed it!" I'm trying to learn to just say, "Thank you!"

5. I am fascinated and at the same time repulsed by serial killers. I've always wondered what goes on in their minds when they commit these heinous crimes, but at the same time it would sicken me to know!

6. I love puzzles..crosswords, jigsaws...I'll work about any kind except Sudoku. I never liked math or working with numbers.

7. I like to eat green bean sandwiches! JD had confessed in a meme that he likes potato salad sandwiches. Well, I like those too! I also like buttermilk with cornbread crumbled in it! My kids never could watch me eat that because it made them sick!!

8. I am not a fanatical housekeeper and never have been. I do try to keep a "path" through the house and give it a thorough cleaning occasionally. I have always felt there are more important things to do. My theory is that all the dust bunnies will be here when I'm dead and gone!!

Here are the 8 people that I tag:

Brandy at Mommy's Quiet Spot

Jennifer at Dust Bunny Hostage

Sandra at Nora Lee's Nook

Rosie at Rosie's Whimsy

BJ at Sweet Nothings

Carolyn at Talk to Grams

Adrienne at With a Grateful Heart

Lisa at A Place to Land

I tried to pick 8 people that I though hadn't already been tagged so if you haven't then start confessing your habits!! :O)

Green bean sandwiches? And potato salad sandwiches? Ugh!!! LOL

Seriously, I enjoying learning more about you, Hope. Can I be one of your dust bunnies?

You know I'm not a morning person either. Remember our late night conversations when everyone else is asleep?

Hope you are having a good week, Hope.

Hugs,
Betty

Hope,

I love your list and thanks for taking part. I do keep a clean house, but not spotless. We have little storage space so it's hard to keep the clutter at bay. Lately I've been buying things to organize better and yes, there are more important things than a spotless house. Grandma always said it would all be there when she was dead and gone. More important things are spending time with children and family.

Thanks for participating.
Blessings,
Mary

I agree about the housework. ;o)

My Mama and especially my Daddy used to eat either sweet milk or buttermilk and cornbread. Not my thing, but they sure ate it like it was going out of style. ;o)

Have a great Thursday, Hope!

Love and hugs,

Diane

Good Morning Hope,
I just seen you over at somebody's place, dadgum it, I completely forgot who it was. LOL. My mind just went blank. Oh wait, it was over at BJ's. LOL. I am here for coffee since you are up early. I enjoyed reading your 8 things about you. I have to have my pot of coffee of the mornings before I can really think. The driving, I had rather drive as be with someone else that is driving. LOL. I'm a big time back seat driver. LOL. Our youngest daughter has to have the t.v. on in our bedroom at night to fall asleep. It has to be either on Disney Channel or Nick at Nite. I've never heard of Green Bean Sandwiches or Potato Salad Sandwiches before. LOL. Those are new ones to me. I do love Potato Salad, so next time I fix it, I may have to give it a try. I'll let you know if I do and how I like it. I love me some Buttermilk and cornbread as well. Crumble that cornbread up in a big tall cup or glass and pour on the Buttermilk. You talk about some good eatin'. LOL. I'm not the best housekeeper either. Now when we were first married I practically cleaned all the time and was bad about rearranging the living room every week. LOL. After the kids came along, well that changed everything. LOL. Like you said, it will be there when we are dead and gone. Family and other things come first. I did this same Meme yesterday. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Have a Terrific Thursday......Rosie

I knew we connected some way. I love GREEN Bean sandwhichs and if the tomatoes are ripe, I add a slice to it. Lord I love buttermilk and cornbread when its warm from the oven and add some onion. Yum and yes my kids say gross! But one of them will eat the green bean sandwhich :)I am not a morning person either and I like to fall asleep with the TV on but the sound turned down. Seems like we do have somethings in common. Man I need a green bean sandwhich. Love ya. Lisa
PS Thanks for tagging me. I will post on it soon :)

I will have to pass on the green bean sandwiches. lol Although, I do love green beans, hmmmmmmmm..... lol No, I still think I will have to pass. lol Your son is 35 ?? Wow, YOU look 35 !!! I too fall asleep to Nick at Night. I like having something interesting on, as I wake up off and on all night, and will watch tv for a half an hour or so each time. :)

Excellent meme....I know a bit more about you now. That one about driving? I'm the same way...tho I don't mind driving out on the highways, but the congested and busy frantic street drivers in the city...that's scary. LOL

I, too, am fascinated with serial killers. When they have caught one or are in the process of finding one, I am glued to the news until they lead him/her to prison. My husband says I should have been a psychologist so that I could find out what makes those people tick. I am sure I wouldn't want to know.
Cornbread and buttermilk? Oh, yeah....mmmmmmmm. That is a meal in itself.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Those are so interesting. I have never heard of green bean or potato salad sandwiches. However, I was RAISED on cornbread and milk. One of my earliest memories, is of my mother rocking me for a nap and feeding me that. I still love it, but rarely eat it. Have a wonderful day. Love,Rachel

I'm doing pretty good with my diet. Hope you are too. Right now I'm craving something salty so I may fix some popcorn, not sure yet.

Hi That was fun reading your meme! I just did this one not on my last post but the one before. My last post was about the laptop going on the blink again!! It won't take a charge for anything. The only good thing is they will fix it for free this time. I just hope they can fix it!! Ok, I'm pointing and clicking each letter and this just makes me nuts!!! Thanks for all your prayers. Love and Hugs Grams

I enjoyed reading your meme. I'm not a morning person either! I also like to eat cornbread crumbled up in buttermilk!! When I don't have cornbread, I'll settle for Fritoes! Have you ever tried that? Yum!

I hope you are feeling better!

Oh! But Sudoko isn't about math... and not really about the numbers. It's logic! Math is not my strong suit either, but I enjoy logic. You really should try Sudoko, if you haven't. (If you have and still don't like it, well, okay then. LOL!)

Just found your blog about 15 minutes ago and read down to the memes and we have to be twins separated at birth. I fall asleep on the sofa with tvland, eat cornbread in milk. I also to all of the puzzles except for sudoko and read court tv website about serial killers, I cannot accept compliments either. This is very scary. I am going to keep reading your archives tonight until I fall asleep, by the way, I am on the sofa and TV land is on the tv. Tammy
