Once again...catching up....

Hello again and a late Happy New Year to all of is still the New Year..right? :) I thought I'd better fill you in on what's been going on with me so you won't think I left the planet again!

I was having some minor health issues which started after Christmas. I started having pain in my left ribs which wasn't all that bad (it only hurt when I breathed) and also my ears plugged up and were ringing constantly which then turned into a roar. That, in turn made me dizzy. I was sure it was just a sinus infection and as usual for me, I put off going to the doctor. Neither symptom got any better so I gave in and went to Urgent Care one evening. The doc that I saw there said my ears were clear (???) but my sinuses were inflamed. Then she did an x-ray and said there were no broken ribs but she thought I had bruised them somehow and it would take time for them to feel better. She gave me antibiotics and said my regular doctor would follow up with all this.

The next day she called to tell me she had taken another look at my x-ray and found a couple of nodules on my right lung and was making me an appointment for a CT Scan which I had. I went to my regular doc the next day and he told me the spots were infection in my lung. Just to be safe he wanted to do another scan in a couple of months just to be sure. So all was well and I was relieved.

Then today I get another call from the Urgent care doc saying she had made me an appointment with a lung specialist for tomorrow. She just wanted to make sure everything was okay. So I said fine and wrote the appointment down. Then about 30 minutes later she calls me back and says she forgot to tell me they also found an enlarged blood vessel on my liver and she was sending a referral to my doctor to have me see a specialist for that!!!! My doctor had read the scan results and didn't seem concerned so I think she is just being cautious. I have a call in to my doctor because I want to know what she is seeing that he obviously didn't...but we'll see what happens.

In the meantime, I hope all is well with all of you and everyone is staying warm. We are getting a little snow here today but no accumulation. We had about an inch this morning and up to 3 inches in the higher elevations. I know some of you are sick of snow but it's exciting for me!! :) I took Tobi for her walk earlier while the snow was coming down pretty good. It amazes me how quiet everything seems when it's snowing. It's so peaceful!

I need to go start my supper now so ya'll take care and I'll try to visit soon.

Hi Hope,

It's so nice to see a post from you. I hate that you are having more health issues and pray there is nothing seriously wrong. Please keep us posted as to the test results.

Love and Prayers,

Good grief, girl! Do you have anything that's working right? Mercy! I hope all the tests come back okay and your doctors are just being cautious and are wanting to make sure there's nothing more serious going on.

Take care of yourself, my friend. :o)

Love and hugs,

Dear Hope
I was happy to come by and see you had posted but I was sad to see you have had so much sickness. I hope and pray everything turns out OK. It sounds like you had a very good doctor at urgent care. They usually get you in and get you out the door. We had a scant of snow here and we were tickled to death over the beautiful white stuff.
The girl's made snow cream.
Come to my blog I have an award for you.
Love and prayers to you my friend.
Your friend, Lisa

Prayers for your health Hope!

I must say that I am impressed with this Doctor that kept looking and calling you back. Sounds like you were getting thorough care. Not to make a blanket statement but it DOES seem that so many doctors aren't very personal and can be very dismissive with their patients.

Oh dear, nothing like a little's that for euphemistic? liven your life. Your post does prove that you look on the bright only hurt when you breathed. You sound very stoic, my dear. Glad that you went to the doc and that these issues are being followed up upon. May you be feeling much better very soon!

I love a Dr. that wants to take action when she/he sees something that just isn't right. With all that there is that can go wrong with a person's health I personally feel that you can't act quick enough in exploring all the possiblities. Many times quick action can make a big difference.

I posted an award on my blog this morning that has your name on it. If anyone is deserving of it you rate right up there.

Love ya!

Hope, just found that someone had visited me from here and so followed the link back. Sometimes things are happening so fast in Blogdom that we forget that a fellow blogger has hit a rough patch. It's been too long since you last posted...if you're visiting, do give a shout. I'd appreciate knowing how you're doing. said...

Hi, I am so sorry to hear about your health issues!! I have been out of the loop, not blogging most of the fall and just getting back into it a little with my health issues!!! I had stents put into my legs and kidneys and with the kidneys I am stil under a Dr's care. Boy was that a mess!!

Then on Christmas Eve, Kelly helped me out off the couch which she has done a million times and she held my hand wrong and she broke it and a blood vessel!! I am fine now with my hand!!

I sure hope they have found out what is going on with your health deal!!! We sure don't need all of this!!! Prayers comming your way. Love and a big hug Grams
