New surprise...

I had a very lazy day yesterday..too lazy to blog even. I did manage to visit around a bit and leave comments. I seem to have eaten way too much chocolate! (Rubbing belly)

I had another surprise waiting for me at Karla's blog, Ramblin' Roads. Karla has frequent book giveaways at her place. This time she picked me specifically! Here's what she had to say:

Now. This particular book is for a very specific audience, so I have to admit I chose the winner for it based on who I thought would be most interested in it. And the winner of Rattled is... Hope at Second Time Around. She is a new blogging friend and she has a brand-new grand-baby!

RattledNEW

I was telling her that it has been 8 years since I took care of a baby so I'm going to need all the help I can get and I so appreciate Karla for thinking of me! If you go over to her blog you can read all about this book. Tell her Hope sent you! Oh, and you might just want to leave her a comment..you never know when you might be the next winner!

Through Karla I also found the Ozark Country Parson blog, who just happens to be Karla's Daddy!! I always enjoy reading his Sunday Sermon notes and devotionals. I know you'll get a blessing when you visit him, just as I do.

Thank you again, Karla. I look forward to receiving this book.

I won a book at Lynne's blog the other day and I'll be showing it soon as I won another give-away too and thought I would take just one picture to share.
How neat that she picked you out as a winner of a book that just matches what is going on in your life right now!
I'll have to check out your links as I'm always on the lookout for good blogs to read...so thanks for providing them!
Love & Hugs to YOU!

Hi Carla,
I found your blog through Ginger's Enchanting Cottage. Ginger is married to my nephew. She's the one that got me started blogging about a month ago. What fun!!!
I love your header and apple cursor. Have a great weekend.

I must be getting old. (I am). I called you Karla. I knew your name was Hope. How did I get Carla?

Congratulations on your win, Hope. It's always exciting to win something.

How is the new grandbaby? Precious as ever, I'll bet.

I've been meaning to write you an email letter and can't think of it at the right time - getting old, tee hee.

Well, congratulations, Grandma! The book can't hurt, but it all comes back to you no matter how long it's been since you cared for a baby. ;o)

Hope your weekend is a good one!

Love and hugs,

Diane

Good Early Morning Hope,
You got any coffee ready this early? LOL. I woke up a bit hungry and came to fix me a snack and thought I would blog for a bit. It' addictive huh? LOL. "CONGRATULATION'S" on winning the Rattled Book. I'm sure it will give you lots of advice on your new Grandbaby. When are we going to see some new pictures of her? I bet she is growing like a weed. I am going to have a new post up later on this morning. I'm going to go lay back down and get back up when my alarm goes off at 3:45a.m. I have to fix some coffee for DH and he has to get ready for work. I'm sure going to miss him, but if the weather co-operates, he will be home Tuesday night late. When he gets to come home like that during the week, it sure makes the week go by faster. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Well now....I see congratulations is in order here!! What a neat book you won. It'll come in handy for sure. I love the title, and being a grandma myself, and not taking 'care of little ones' since our own kids were small wee ones, yes, I can understand what you're saying about the difference 8 years can do to a woman. Yep, sure 'nough.

Have a blessed Sunday. Hope it's a peaceful, happy day for you

Thanks for the sweet post! I hope you enjoy the book. If you find it all "coming back to you" maybe you can pass the book along to the new mommy.

Thank you also for the kind words about my dad's blog. He posts his sermon notes mainly for us kids who all live far away... but I keep telling him that he just doesn't know who might come across it and be blessed as well. Comments such as yours are an encouragement to him!

Have a great day!
