New/Old Treasures

I want to share a couple of Dave's new finds. First is this old wooden sled which we are told was used to haul supplies, etc. DH wanted me to tell you that he decorated it! :) Please disregard the ugly film on the mirror. This is what happens when you are a blogaholic!! That's my story (excuse) anyway and I'm stickin' to it!! I took one picture and realized that my scary reflection was in the mirror! I know I've already showed you some frightening pictures of me but this one was bad....bed-head and all!! So I took another picture and this time ducked down behind the greenery!! :) The mirror, by the way, was one we found in Vermont for 2 bucks!

Next is this cool, old wooden tray. It appears to be homemade but is really nice. It has black, wrought iron handles and the rooster and chicken picture is what appears to be a piece of border. You can also see part of my collection of crocks and crock bowls in this picture.

Every day is like Christmas here with Dave finding new treasures. The hard part is finding room for them all. I love finding new uses for old things, you know, the Second Time Around!

Edited to add:

Blogger keeps cutting off my picture on the right side. I have so much room on either side of the page but everything is crammed in the center. When I do my post and preview it everything looks good. Then I go to my blog page and it's all cut off! If anyone knows how to fix this I would appreciate any advice!

I always choose the medium sized pics to post here and now have done the small. There is a big difference in the size but it does show the whole picture! Maybe I just need to resize the pics beforehand!! Thanks to all who tried to help!

I love it, I love it!!! Your post for today is what I'm talking about. I love the shelf and the tray, especially the shelf. It is so unusual looking.

I laughed out loud when I read you didn't want to show your bedside table because you would have to dust. Private joke between us about dusting. My table would not have been that neat and dust free if I had not just cleaned it last Saturday.

I forgot to comment about how everything on your blog is all in center. You know me - I can't help you here. My blog does crazy stuff, too. I will prefer it and have it looking just like I want it. Then when I post it, it comes out different.

Good Afternoon Hope,
Oh my goodness, I love the sled and how you have it decorated. Dave did a great job in finding it. I love the green shelf as well. Green is my favorite color. I think the tray with the chickens and roosters on it looks very nice under the shelf. "THANK YOU" for sharing your beautiful treasures with us. Sure wish I could find some treasures like yall find. I guess I live in the wrong part of the woods huh? LOL. I ain't movin' either. LOL. I'm keeping my feet on flatland. LOL. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours. On your picture thing, you might try like Grams suggested the other day about fixing it shrink to size. That's just a thought I had. I don't know much still about blogging. LOL.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

P.S. Sorry I'm no help with the picture problem yet. Maybe I will be soon. But Karla might be able to help. She's told me that sometimes, the blogger program gets glitches (is that how it's spelled)that create problems. Then they randomly go away.

On your blog pictures...are you downloading as large or medium...I always use medium...but like others have said, this may be some sort of glitch.

All of your things look lovely! I hope you are having a nice evening!

Hope, the molasses give them a jump start of energy from the sugar. Kinda like when we are tired and eat a candy bar we get a little burst of energy.

I have no idea about your pictures, Hope. What size do you choose when you post them? Even when I choose Large mine are never as big as yours are. Maybe try choosing Medium and see what that does? I really don't know. Just something to try.

Sorry I'm not more help.
